Burrow

A large-formatted experimental portfolio book for fashion and textile designer Friederike Stanitzek. In referencing materials used in her collections, the cover consists of raw-edged yellow denim laminated onto book binding board. In trying the book together we worked with loose leaf rings and eyelets. The combination of clothing materials with conventional book binding techniques highlight the unconventional hybrid form of this publication. The publication is constructed rather loosely, providing the possibility to expand and rearrange the shown projects. The tactile qualities and the large format serve as a representation of the designer‘s aesthetics.
